Google Notebook Goes Mobile

I hadn’t seen this posted anywhere else, but I did stumble across the new feature of Google Notebook that lets you access your notes with a mobile device at http://www.google.com/notebook/m.

My early tests seem to indicate that you can’t edit your original notes, but you can add notes. Since I keep my to-do list in one note, rather than adding notes, this isn’t the greatest implementation of mobile notes for me personally, but it is still useful in terms of doing my to-do list review from anywhere, any time.

Texting Bans, and Measuring the Correct Things

So, statistics show that, despite the increasing number of bans on cell phone use, or texting while driving, the number of traffic accidents hasn’t gone down. I’m not at all surprised. Now, mind you, it’s probably too early to really tell whether there will be any long-term drop as a result of these bans, and…

    Google Reader update

Back before the holidays I mentioned that I was going to give Google Reader another try after I wasn’t all that impressed with the initial offering way back when. After a few weeks, I’ve decided to continue using it over Bloglines, for a couple of reasons. First, one of the things I like to do…

  • Google Reader

Like any true geek, I couldn’t resist trying out the new Google Reader over the weekend. The short verdict? It’s not a bad first attempt, although it loads a bit slow with my 238 feeds. On the other hand, as my days have gotten busier and busier of late, I’ve come to appreciate more and…

Linked – Social Media Is Dying

While I would love to end this with a condemnation of venture capitalists and hedge fund managers, I think it’s important to point out that many of us are complicit. Fund managers seeking the best short-term profits for their investments run funds whose shareholders include most of us. When we log in and look at our IRA or 401(k) accounts, we look for how much the value has increased, not what makes the most sense for society. Our account balance looks a little nicer when a company lays off 10,000 employees and the stock price increases.

It’s all entwined. To paraphrase Michael Corleone – “We’re all part of the same hypocrisy.”

  1. I agree. I am a big to-do list person. Google notebook seemed great when I was creating this list on my laptop. But when trying to edit on my mobile – I was unable to do so. Kind of a bummer. So when you are away from your computer you can’t erase items that you have completed, or add to that particular to do item.
