Cleveland rocks

I’ve been meaning to write about my time in Cleveland the past couple of days, but I just never seemed to find the time.

On Thursday, had a great time spending the evening at the In The Trenches Cleveland Geek Dinner. It was late, very late, by the time I turned in for the night. Despite that, I was up early to spend the morning photographing the Cuyahoga Valley National Park,

Morning on the Cuyahoga River

then grabbing a quick nap and heading out to catch the Indians/Royals game at Jacob’s Field.

Scoreboard

After a thrilling Indians win in the ninth inning, it was to the hotel and to bed in order to get on the road in the morning. After a quick stop to say hello to family on the way to Columbus I arrived with about 20 minutes to spare before we hit the road about an hour out of town for a party with some of Angela’s coworkers.

Needless to say, this is the first chance I’ve gotten to upload some pics and write about the experience. More pics of all 3 Cleveland events are available on Flickr.

It’s Monday, it’s not even 10 o’clock in the morning and already I’ve got people whining and bitching. The best part, you set a database to do a certain thing, have it that way for years, get everyone used to it working that way, and then, after all this time, a VP decides that’s not…

Just put up pictures from the weekend in Dayton on Finnegan’s blog. We had a good time checking out both the Air Force Museum and the Egyptian exhibit at the Dayton Art Institute. The week got off to a crazy start after that though. We have 3 helpdesk people and aside from taking all the…

  • This is why I don’t wear a tie..

Normally, there’s a dress code around our office, and it includes the whole tie/jacket thing most of the year, but I’m excluded from it. Now that doesn’t mean I get to wear jeans and t-shirts or anything like that, but unless I’m dealing with outside people, and that’s very rarely, I get to dress in…

After reading about how AOL bought out the rights to a bunch of popular bloggers today, I realize that there is absolutely nothing I can put up here that anyone is likely to take seriously. (Of course, how seriously do you take me any other day? *L*) While I prefer to think of this day…

    Savannah

Yes, this is me catching up with all the photos I took since the beginning of the year, finally! We spent a weekend down in Savannah back in January. I have never been before, but had always wanted to get the chance to shoot some of the old historic neighborhood. I knew the squares would…
