Blogging advice

It looks like I’m going to be meeting with someone who runs a website for a small not for profit lobbying group next week so that she can pick my brain about blogging. I’ve already given her a bunch of links and a few articles about blogging, but I figured I’d throw it open to suggestions. If you were going to talk to someone about why their organization shoud (or shouldn’t?) start blogging, and how they should do it, what would be the key points you’d want to make sure they knew, or the key ideas that are floating around online that you would point them to?

I’m looking forward to your ideas.
