Excuses

OK, it’s an excuse, I know. But you know those projects I was going to work on last night? They really relied on having an internet connection to accomplish most of what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, RoadRunner did not see fit to provide a working internet connection! I’ve done the support email thing, since I know it’s nothing from my router in that’s causing the problem, it’s from their modem out. I suppose if it’s not working tonight we’ll do the phone support thing, but man I really, really hate doing that with them!

In the meantime, it’s dial-up for the bare necessities and catching up with email and stuff during lunch at work. I won’t even attempt a Movable Type upgrade over dial-up!

Thanks to a pointer from the OneNote Tips list, I found a couple of new OneNote Powertoys that involve sending images to OneNote, either using a virtual printer driver to print to OneNote from any application, or Webpage to OneNote, which will load a webpage as an image. First off, let me just say, I’m really not the world’s biggest basketball fan, it’s no hockey. But I couldn’t help but notice that the “LeBron James era” started last night. Now, keeping in mind that the Cavs are the closest thing we have to a local NBA team, would you be surprised to know…

I hate the Monday after Daylight Savings Time starts. I especially hate having to attend a staff meeting (yawn!) first thing in the morning on the Monday after daylight savings time starts. There is not enough coffee in the world to get me going for that. 🙂 Follow these topics: Uncategorized

  • Speaking of bad marketing

OK, this isn’t really marketing per se, but it is somewhat bad customer service, so here’s a free clue. If you’re a local, or in this case a regional, camera store, and you’re going to try and repackage a 1GB SD card that had been returned, you might want to take a minute and delete…
