Angela’s new toy

Angela braved the Friday morning crowds to pick up a new toy for us, well for her more than anything, but we’ll both be enjoying it. At $154 the Kodak EasyShare CX4300 digital camera was a nice addition to the family gadget collection. Anytime you can grab a 3.1 megapixel camera for that price, it’s worth it!

Not that I would have been lined up at Walmart at 5:45AM the way she and her mom, and numerous other people, were. I was still sleeping snugly in the bed while they were out on the shopping extravaganza, but I admire their dedication. 🙂

They even had 64MB SD cards real cheap too, so she got one of those to work with the camera. Now I figure we’ll have two digital cameras when the need arises between us, and I can always use the 128MB CF card back and forth between the HP digital camera and the Pocket PC, at least until I outgrow it. 🙂

I hope the rest of you are going to be getting cool toys for Xmas yourselves!

I completely agree with what Andy had to say about Firebird being renamed, again, to Firefox and the new release. I actually went through 4-5 posts in my aggregator that talked about Firefox 0.8 being released before I saw Andy’s post and realized that was actually Firebird’s new name! This is just a note to those of you who may wander over here from the Child Abuse site. I got an email from Morbus, the mysterious creator of Amphetadesk, offering me the opportunity to preview the Alpha of version 0.93, so that I could give it another chance to stack up in the Freeware News Aggregator Showdown. I admit, I do have an East Coast food bias. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. There is no better pizza, there is no better place to get a bagel and there is no snack-cake product for sale here in the Midwest that can take the place of Drakes Cakes for me. How much does…
