Mike,

I think WordPress is a FINE choice. I've been struggling with that one myself. WordPress is by far the most popular, it has the best user interface, it's the most powerful, but it lacks ONE thing that keeps me from using it; static publishing. My brother, http://jerryfahrni.com, has been using WordPress for about a year not and he's had great success with it. In fact he gave me grief for not choosing it! :-)

The updated site looks good, and obviously it wasn't hard to make the transition.

I'm still evaluating things. If I go with the "hosted on their servers" option I'd probably go with Tumblr. My current front runner for "self hosted" is Movable Type 5. They have a very powerful publishing engine, CMS, and they publish static pages.

Thats good news (both that you're moving to Wordpress) and that you are busy at work. Hopefully the transition goes smoothly - I know it took me a while to get mine moved when I went from MovableType.
