Display Fusion

Using different backgrounds for each of my dual monitors has been  something I’d been thinking about for awhile now, and finally had this post on the How To Geek about Display Fusion brought it right to the front of my mind.

Obviously, I had to try it out. So I’ve just downloaded it and set both monitors to display different photos I took in Chicago this week. Cool.

Of course, when I’m sitting here I don’t see the desktop much, so we’ll have to see if those brief moments, in addition to the shortcut keys to move windows around, are worth using resources to have this running all the time. So far, it doesn’t seem to be slowing things down at all, but you never know.

    Teaching RSS

I wanted to try and post something yesterday about the presentation after it was done, but we had plans to see Dave Matthews last night and didn’t get home until late, so I wasn’t on-line. It went pretty well. The immediate feedback was pretty positive, but of course, the folks who had feedback for me…

    System Restore

Spent most of this morning doing another System Restore on a Compaq machine. There wasn’t any specific hardware failure or any indication as to what was happening, but it would just hang. It would go through all the normal NT Workstation boot processes, get to the start screen and never prompt me for a network…
