Reset

I didn’t realize how much of my time would be spent this week resetting passwords. Not network passwords, passwords to the Postini email quarantines. Seems that our service was upgraded, and moved to another server. Naturally the new server didn’t recognize the cookies that were set by the old server so all those folks who had checked the “remember my password” box had to login again. I didn’t realize how many people had done that, and now have no idea what their password is.

I saw where Google released a “me too” calendar tool today. I only have one word for them, Intellisync. I keep my calendar in Outlook, so I have it off-line, the only on-line tool I use is Yahoo’s calendar so that my wife can see where I will be at any given time in the…

I got an email over the weekend from Jacob Rheuban, one of the founders of a new news aggregation site called Newgie. The site promises to be a smarter news portal and RSS feed directory. From their press release: Newgie co-founders Jason Windebank (29) and Jacob Rheuban (29) began work on the new product six months ago…

  • MyDoom

Yesterday I was out, took a vacation day rather than dealing with the snow. Today I’m being buried in a different way, under MyDoom emails coming into our accounts. Someone that we deal with quite a lot has gotten bit by this thing big time! I guess it’s time to figure out who. Follow these…
