I’m not trying to say anything bad about my readers…

Since I announced that extra $$ from the Amazon links would be going to Prevent Child Abuse, I’ve had 47 people click through to Amazon from here, which is quite higher than normal, but not a single one of them actually ordered anything. You do all realize that you have to actually buy something for some of the $$ to go to charity, right? 😉

I don’t have any orders for the One Man IT Dept. Store either, but I also don’t know how many of you clicked through there. Cafepress is starting their holiday sale, so you might want to take a look before I decide to close it down due to lack of interest. (Cafepress came out awhile ago and stated that they might start taking down stores with no sales for a long time, assuming that they were no longer in use. I expect that mine might fall into that category at some point, so if you want something, you should probably get cracking!)

On the other hand, maybe I should be talking to someone at Dell about getting a cut from Kevin’s Axim X5 purchase

Morten passed along this link, which is a place for you to validate your robots.txt file. He mentioned it to me because the robots.txt file I just put up on Monday had a typo in it. How embarrassing, but also how cool that it took less than 48 hours for someone to give me a…

Andy pointed out the other day that AVG would stop updating version 6 of their free AV product at the end of the year, but they had made version 7 available. I went to take a look at that over the weekend and discovered something that didn’t make me happy. Seems that their definition of…

Sorry for the outage earlier today. My host tells me there was some sort of DOS attack, just another fun day on the ‘net. 🙂 Tomorrow will be road trip adventure, as I’ll be rolling over to Dayton bright and early for the Ohio ITEC conference. I wouldn’t expect there to be much here… Follow…

  • And they’re off..

The office is closing a couple of hours early today to give everyone a head start on their Thanksgiving holiday. (I’ve still got a couple of things to finish up, so I’m blogging this now, instead of right before we leave.) Since we’re driving down to West Virginia to see Angela’s parents today, the extra…

I’m seeing lots of interesting thoughts coming from the Blogs essential to a good career article today. The post over at Scoble’s has further links to investigate. (Be sure to check the comments too) I don’t know what role, if any, this site played in getting my current job. I had it listed on my…
